Hm.

It`s paradoxon.

Yup, I`m still watching even though it never got as funny as that one episode again.

But still, watching the writers create an honest to god alien among us who nevertheless lived among us for 30 odd years is amusing. So this time Brennan had to give her expertise in court and the jury expert told her not to bore the jurors with technical terms and not be so clinically-cold. She logically explained why that was NOT. A. GOOD. IDEA. So of course Brennan is clinically cold and uses tons of technical terms.
The juror expert is unhappy and told her she blew it because nobody could follow Brennan.
Brennan is mightily confused why all the jurors don`t have the knowledge a certified anthropolgist has. Hey Brennan, you`re the one who always points out how much smarter you are than everybody so why the hell did your brain not compute with the simple fact that you sucked in your testimony? Your collagues knew how to present themselves, your former professor and ex-lover knew it too.
So why the hell not your overly high IQed ass?

Then she asks for a second chance to testify and she does.it.all.over.again. The hell? A chimpanzee would have learned not to press the button again that gives him electro-shocks. I totally expected her to do everything right this time. Like I thought nobody would do it TWICE. So she needs to be tricked into actually giving an impassioned plea for the killed young woman. One she totally gave earlier in the lab so why not in court?
That`s not my definition of superior intelligence. I mean maybe she is supposed to be like an Asgard in relation to us but they had the good sense to ask US for help when they needed stupid ideas. ;)

The writers try to create a new archetype here: the really, really intelligent stupid person. Hee.

I won`t be home this weekend as I`m going to "Bewitched Moviefestival" :) We`ll probably watch 2.08 tomorrow in group setting. Yay. Will be back with my review Sunday evening, I think. Cheers.

Bwah! I saw that, too, and cracked up. I especially loved the moment when the juror expert told her exactly why she should behave and talk a certain way and Brennan told her that "people like you are what's wrong with our justice system!!!!!ONE!"

Okay!
