Urgh, I feel your pain for it`s really annoying.

I had that email addy for ten years now, I used it for practically everything.

My dad's aol email account was hacked only a few weeks back as well. It turned out to be very annoying, but not much harm done, fortunately. *keeps fingers crossed for you*

Seems to be a thing now. At least I don`t think it sent out viruses because then no way it would have gotten through our firewall at work.

But I used that email addy for everything. Now if I stumble upon some old random accounts on various websites - where I have of course forgotten the password - I can`t even get it back anymore.

At least I managed to get to my saved mails, like booking confirmations and such that I haven`t already printed out.

But you can still access your aol account, right? Or are you completely locked out?

At any rate, my advice for PW security is here, and my advice for PW managers is Keepass. (I've been using the latter for ages now, and it can be a real lifesaver!)
