And another Season Finale, and this time it hit me a bit harder because

I just love House/Wilson. I love their sometimes adolescent friendship. They fit together like a fish and a bicycle and it`s GLORIOUS. So the idea that there now might be a RIFT in that friendship in Season 5? Waaaaaaah. This is not a show I watch for heavy drama where I can take that. House is my intellectual entertainment show where I`m amused ans safe in the security of the wonderful love between a fish and his bicycle. Don`t go taking that away from me, writers. Doris Egan? Anybody? *sniff*

Basically Wilson had a new girlfriend that in personality stroooongly resembled House - slash writers hello :) - and in the previous episode it turns out she has been on a bus crash with House and was seriously injured.

Now the Finale revealed she only was on that bus because a drunken House called up his buddy Wilson to pick him up from a bar and Amber, the girlfriend, went instead. She died, Wilson was devastated and House is afraid Wilson blames him. And by the final look of how a broken Wilson walks away from Houses` hospital bed, he might be on track with that assumption. :(

On the other hand, Wilson did stay until House actually woke up, so... I have hope *crosses fingers tightly*

I don't think there's going to be much of an actual rift - while House is terrified Wilson is going to blame and hate him, I don't think Wilson is actually going to.

Wilson was just extremely broken up by his girlfriend's death and couldn't handle to sit at another sickbed just then, particularly when House was so wrapped up in Amber's accident. Which isn't at all the same thing as saying he blames him...

There'll probably be some awkwardness and angst and guilt on both sides (because Wilson was the one who almost got House killed for - as it turned out - no reason, since Amber couldn't have been saved no matter what). And then they'll get their disfunctional act back together. :-)
