So of course the draft sucks donkey balls and will need some major polishing before I can let it loose on the unsuspecting masses. But that is a worry for another day. *crawls away*
For anybody awaiting the Horseman-epilogue, yes, that`s still in progress - just not, you know, today. :)

I know some people have 50.000 to 100.000 word drafts so yeah. I just busted ass to make the magic 20k for first draft and I think in the end it might even out to 30k or so.
I`m always grateful for beta-offerings though so if it still stands, I might come back to you.
Yesterday I spent more or less the whole day on the couch reading "Comes a Horseman". When it first popped up on the Supernatural newsletter I didn´t feel that intrigued. Just couldn´t imagine what might be interesting about a story set in Bronze Age.
But, whow!! Bronze Age it is ;-)
I feel your Barbarian!verse holds true potential to be turned into an original novel. So, if you ever run out of ideas on what to write next...
And yes, beta-offering has no expiration date :-)
No, no need to be sorry, what matters is you liked the story so compliment gratefully excepted. :)

Hee. I know that the summary/setting would put a lot of people off. Even myself, if I`d just encountered it as a reader, I don`t know if I`d just gone "WTF?"
But I`m glad you gave it a go and even moreso that youn enjoyed it. Yay.

Oh dear, if I ever found the time to write a novel... Which is my biggest problem, time (okay, and laziness) because I`m always up to my ears in plot bunnies.

Very cool, thank you. Right now it`s not even beta-ready but I`m working on whipping it in shape. Need. more. hours. in. a. day. *g*
It got me contemplating about language never being "neutral" and always existing and working in context :-)
Besides, both their characters in that verse are charismatic and in that kinda addictive :-) So, me too stands in line awaiting patiently and perseverant an EPIC follow up ;-)
Yeah, and if I were anything like Dean Winchester...I´d just say: "Quit your job. Go writing."
Which has been an utter bitch to write because even in most historical fics common things like measuring time in years, the concept of hell or any of these things are not a problem so they always snuck in.
I even struggled with the word "bed". I actually would know an old-fashioned word for it but only in German and try as I might, I did not find an apt English translation. So, me too stands in line awaiting patiently and perseverant an EPIC follow up ;-)
Following through with this concept strictly with Jen´s internal voice, too.
I debated this because it limited the flow of information to the readership somewhat, there were scenes I wanted to tell, but couldn`t because Jensen would not have been present.
The balance you´ve found there has a wonderful smoothness to it.
*blushes and bows* Thank you so much.

Heh. I don`t know about epic but a sequel will come.

I think even if I had the talent (and luck) to support myself on writing, I`d lack the necessary writing discipline. :)
