The one where I actually finish a fanfic

So, needed to get my mind of things and thought, what the heck, I`ll do this now.

Actually legoline inspired me by posting her adorable Wee!Winchester story Night Night
So I thought about attempting a shorter piece myself or at least as short as I could manage. Succinctness and me don`t really go well together. *sigh*

Anyway I now present my first ever finished fanfic. *g*

Fandom:
Supernatural
Title: The Measure of a Man
Author: Astri13
Disclaimer: I don`t own anything about Supernatural. CW does.

Rating/Warnings: Gen
Spoilers: Shadow
Summary: Sam defends Dean`s honor Sort of. *g*
AN: Protective!Sam pushes all my buttons. The notion of Dean the brainless ho pushes none.

The Measure of a Man

"So, ever see that many books in one place?", the words could have come across as jokingly, but the tone made it clear they were anything but.

And, judging by Dean`s half-smile, that wasn`t lost in him. Sam groaned inwardly. There we go again.

"Yeah, I tried to knock over a public library once. You know, little diversion from the endless gas stations and mini-marts and all."

Kyle Davidson`s eyes narrowed. A rich corporate lawyer type, he didn`t like being made fun of. Especially not by someone like Dean, whom he obviously considered a textbook example of "white trash".

The man had been nice enough - before the brothers had exorcised the Poltergeist haunting their house and their family. After the job had been finished, however, Davidson had gone back to happily denying the existence of all things ghostly.

Right after the deed was done, him and Dean had been left alone for a couple of minutes, while Sam went to get the first aid kit for Dean`s injured leg. When Sam had returned, he`d found them glaring at each other. Since then Davidson barely bothered to hide his contempt of Dean.

Predictably, Dean had reacted by being extra snarky and obnoxious.

"Well, I`m guessing this..." the lawyer made a grand sweeping gesture, indicating the luxurious study they were standing in, "...isn`t like the places you usually stay at."

"Not really, it`s a bit too castle Frankenstein for my taste, but I`m sure some goth chicks out there dig that look," Dean winked at Davidson, whose lips were pressed together into a thin line.

All joking aside Sam wondered why his brother had accepted the invitation of Kyle`s father to stay a couple of days at the summer house after they`d cleansed it. The old Mr. Davidson had clearly felt guilty about Dean being injured on the job, maybe even fearing a law-suit. Not that it had been that serious, apart from a slight limp Dean seemed to be doing fine.

Whatever the case may be, Sam had to admit to being glad for the reprieve. His brother had looked tired lately. Since Chicago and the brief meeting with their Dad, Dean seemed off to him somehow. A few days relaxing in the gorgeous mansion surely wouldn`t hurt, even if the guy living in it had turned out to be a such a dick.

And of course there was Sam himself. A fellow Stanford alumni Kyle Davidson had seemed genuinely impressed to hear about Sam`s full ride and impressive test scores. He had offered to pull some strings for the younger man, getting him back into law school, possibly letting him do an internship in his prestigious law firm. For a moment there, Sam had been excited about the prospect, entertaining thoughts of maybe and what if.

But the first glitter had waned off rather quickly for him. Davidson`s attitude towards Dean was getting on Sam`s last nerve. Dean wasn`t dumb. He hadn`t excelled at school like Sam had, but that had been more due to a lack of trying than anything else. Dean had always liked to apply his intelligence on a practical level. Which in the Winchester family meant hunting for the most part.

Secretly Sam had nursed some tiny glimmer of hope about Dean coming with him when he went away to Stanford. In Sam`s mind his brother could be so much more than this life. When Dean had turned eighteen Sam had envied him beyond words. Dean could have been free, he could have walked away from all this weirdness.

Of course Sam had been eternally glad that Dean hadn`t in fact ditched them then, thus leaving Sam alone with their Dad. But after Sam left, why did he have to stay? For what? It infuriated Sam with both his father and brother.

Davidson was still glaring at Dean who in turn just wore that patented smirk of his. Sam readied himself to intervene again when a knock interrupted the tense situation.

The door opened and Davidson`s five year old niece Candace came bouncing into the study. The little girl had taken an instant liking to Dean, following him around like a puppy.

Now she smiled at him. "Mommy said I can play in the pool now. Will you come too? Please, please come."

Dean knelt down to be at her eye level. "You know what, I haven`t been in a pool for so long, I`m not even sure I know how to swim anymore."

"You can wear my floaties," she told him brightly.

Dean laughed. "That`s really nice of you, but won`t you need them yourself?"

"Nuah, I`m a big girl, I can swim all by myself. My teacher says I`m a nat..natural."

Sam still marveled at how well his brother interacted with kids. A couple of months ago he wouldn`t have laughed his ass off at the notion. Now though it made him wonder if Dean ever dreamed about having a family of his own. He sure would make a wonderful father.

"I don`t even have swim-trunks."

"Oh, I`m sure we`ll find something suitable for you," a new and gratingly chirpy voice announced.

Sam looked up to see the girl`s mother and Davidson`s sister Stephanie step into the room. "You don`t wanna break a little girl`s heart, do you? She will be sorely disappointed if you say no," she smiled flirtatiously at Dean.

More like you`ll be disappointed about being deprived the view of a nearly naked Dean, Sam thought surly. Even now her eyes were hungrily roaming over Dean`s body in the tight-fitted Jeans and T-shirt he wore, like he was an appetizer on a plate. An analogy that wasn`t too far off, Sam thought and without really being aware of it. he moved a bit to shield his brother from those predatory eyes, narrowing his own.

Not that Dean normally appreciated him keeping female admirers away. But his brother did have some standards. And to Sam`s best knowledge, he had never got it on with a married woman, let alone a mother. His brother may have been many things but home-wrecker wasn`t one of them. Not to mention that the woman not being above using her kid to get into Dean`s pants wasn`t a very attractive quality. To either of the brothers.

"Oh please, please come, it will be fun," the little girl whipped out the puppy dog eyes, and Sam just knew Dean was a goner. This particular trick had worked on his brother every time when Sam was little.

"Well, how can I say no to such a pretty face," Dean admitted defeat.

Candace clapped her hands together, her mother grinned like a cheshire cat and Davidson just glowered, his default mode by now.

So half an hour later Sam found himself standing by the pool, watching Dean and little Candy playing together. Stephanie was lounging nearby, trying to strike a sexy pose.

Seeing Dean and the kid engaged in a full-out splashing battle made Sam smile. Some of his better childhood memories consisted of him and Dean having water-fights in cheap motel pools. That was, until their Dad called them in to "stop with the nonsense and start training."

He was so engrossed in the display and his memories, he didn`t even notice Davidson coming to stand beside him until the guy spoke: "So Sam, I`ve been meaning to tell you earlier but I spoke to the partners at my firm and they`ve agreed to let you start as an intern."

"Uhm, thanks but right now I`m really involved in the family business. You know, saving people," Sam looked at the other man, silently communicating the people like you part.

"Of course, of course. That`s very noble. No doubt. But I`m sure Dean will be doing just fine with that. It fits him," he put a hand on Sam`s shoulder, "Sam, you have so much potential. You musn`t throw it away like that." and end up like your loser brother went unspoken.

Sam grit his teeth and tried to politely deny again. "Thanks, but..."

Davidson interrupted him. "Look, if you`re worried about your brother, I`m sure we can find something for him too."

Sam bristled. Dean wasn`t a stray dog that had to be taken in. He had his own life, much as Sam disagreed with the general lifestyle.

He was about to tell the other man off in no uncertain terms, when he noticed the guy staring at Dean. Mostly at Dean`s backside since his brother currently had their back to them and was bending over slightly to talk to little Candace. The look was hungry, leering. And Sam understood that the Davidson siblings were much more alike than he had thought.

They seemed to have some appreciation for Dean`s body, sure, but apparently that didn`t extend to respecting him as a person. His brother was a play toy to them, to be used and probably thrown away once they tired ot it.

Sam clenched his fists at the thought and he knew he was being kinda irrational there. Hell, Dean could kick this pansy little lawyer ass with his hands tied behind his back. And why did he even care what some shallow rich kids thought about his brother? But just the idea of these brats looking down on Dean because he didn`t have a high class education, after he saved their ungrateful asses from a Poltergeist nonetheless, it made Sam`s blood boil. And a small part of him wondered how genuine his offer to help Sam had really been.

And then he noticed Davidson was still talking. "...think we can keep him occupied."
He even winked at Sam. God, how stupid was this guy?

Sam grabbed the shorter man by the lapels of his five thousand dollar suit and pulled him close, over-enunciating his words like you`d do when speaking to an insolent child. "My brother is worth more than you`ll ever be. And you`re not fit to lick his boots...no matter how much you might like that," he added with a vicious little smirk.

Davidson`s eyes grew comically round at that and Sam didn`t know, if it was because he`d hit the truth with that last statement, but he didn`t really care either way. Next thing, the man found himself flying through the air and landing in the pool with a loud splash.

Everybody including Dean was staring at Sam open-mouthed.

The lawyer emerged from the water, sputtering. "You ungrateful little...you..you..I was trying to help you getting somewhere," he screamed, "get out of this house, right now."

"With pleasure," Sam sneered and turned on his heel, walking towards the main house.

Dean chased after him. "Are you nuts? What was that all about?"

He puts his hand on Sam`s shoulder, which Sam took advantage off, grabbing the hand and dragging his older brother with him.

"The guy is a jerk and we`re out of here. End of story."

"But...wait...what about...didn`t he promise to help you with school and stuff?"

Sam stopped walking and turned around to look Dean squarely in the eye. "Is that it? Is that why you agreed to stay? Dean, you don`t even want me to go back to school. You`re always going on and on about how we`re not normal."

Dean shrugged. "Well we aren`t. And mostly I just thought we could sneak in a bit of R&R, you know. Relax, use their steam shower," he winked at Sam, who rolled his eyes.

"And Davidson offering to help me?" he asked quietly.

Dean looked uncomfortable. "Well, it`s what you want, isn`t it? Go back, be a real person again? Go your own way?" he asked defiantly, with a hint of anger in his voice.

Sam looked at him, eyes full of incredulity. "That`s what`s been bugging you? Because dude, hell yes I want my life back and I`m not gonna apologize for that, but I don`t mean to ditch you or Dad either. I don`t want it to be like it was at Stanford, us not talking to each other. You know that, right?"

Dean shrugged but his face softened. "Obviously you can`t go back right now with the Demon and everything. Probably not for some time. But you know, maybe later? Couldn`t hurt to have some connections, just in case. A friend in the right place..." he trailed off, unsure.

"A friend," and at that Sam made air-quotes, "that is treating my brother like dirt?"

Dean waved a hand dismissively. "So the guy isn`t exactly my biggest fan. Who cares about that?"

Sam just looked at him. "I do."

Dean looked dumbstruck for a moment, then snorted. "Dude, you`re such a girl. That sounded like you were reciting a wedding vow."

Sam just shook his head. "Whatever. We`re a package deal now."

Dean`s eyes shone at the statement but he wouldn`t be Sam`s annoying, jerky older brother if he didn`t turn the moment into a joke. "Sammy, if this is your way of telling me your fantasies about hot threesomes with me and some chick, forget about it. Not gonna happen, you litte perv. That`s above and beyond the call of brotherly duty."

"Shut up and start packing our stuff or do you wanna stay here?"

"I think you blew the sugar daddy deal for both of us, Sammy," he said dryly and raised an eyebrow at Sam. Who felt his cheeks flame. "So uhm, you uhm... noticed?"

"Dude, do you think I`m stupid?"

Sam laughed lightly. "No, I`ve never thought you were."

Dean seemed about to say something but Sam gave him a slight shove towards the house. "Go."

"We should probably say goodbye to the tyke, you know," Dean said a bit sheepishly.

"Sure, you big sap," Sam smiled. His brother flipped him the bird and walked off.

As he went inside Sam could still hear him muttering about crazy little geek brothers. And Sam found himself agreeing with the Davidson`s on one thing: his brother did have a spectacular backside. But that was a thought he chose not to examine too closely for the time being.

I was gonna read that yesterday already but I was just way too knackered to focus... *sigh*

BUT:

Oooooooh I liked that! A lot! I loved the way Sam went all protective, and the way Dean sort of "sacrificed" (in an exaggerated way of course) himself for his little brother. Can so see that happen.

When Dean had turned eighteen Sam had envied him beyond words. He could have been free, he could have walked away from all this weirdness.

That thought never stroke me but it's so true. Sam must have thought Dean was mad.

Dean waved a hand dismissively: "So the guy isn`t exactly my biggest fan. Who cares about that?"

Sam just looked at him: "I do."

Yes! Go Sammy! :p

Thank you. I was really nervous it being my virgin work and all. *g*
And writing in English really is way more difficult than reading or hearing it. Often I think, okay, that just sounds clumsy, but for the life of me can`t think of a better expression. *sigh*

That thought never stroke me but it's so true. Sam must have thought Dean was mad.

And still praying everyday it wouldn`t just been him and Dad alone for the next 4 years. Without Dean as the buffer, there would have been bloodshed. *g*

Yes! Go Sammy! :p

Oh yeah, please beat it into your brother how much he is worth as a person.

Made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside *bows*

Fully deserved. You paved the way. :)

Didn't manage to read it yesterday, sorry.

So, nice characterization of Sammy. I enjoyed seeing him in protective mode a lot. Though I'm not sure he would have thrown the guy into the pool without being *properly* provoked (meaning something more physical) - but it was fun anyway *g*
Also, thumbs up for your OCs, considering the story is so short, you really managed to give them a character.

And since you asked for concrit:

You need a beta. Really. My English is far from perfect, but I stumbled over a some stuff that just sounded wrong. Also, don't post without a beta, you only give off false impressions.

But that was a thought he chose not to examine too closely for the time being.

This is stuff I personally hate stumbling over in fics. He's what? 23? He *knows*. This whole "OMG! I have no idea why I feel/act the way I do" just doesn't work. Especially for Sam.
I maybe can see Dean going all repressed - because obviously that's just what he does. a lot. But Sam? Not really. He's introverted type that thinks everything through. So he either knows already, or he's just figuring things out, but then he is actively thinking about it.

Still, I had fun reading it. So thanks for posting : )

Yeah, Sammy went a bit Hulk there, I admit. *g*

Also, thumbs up for your OCs, considering the story is so short, you really managed to give them a character.

Thanks. I would probably never tackle a "the boys meet a female hunter" story or something of the like, because that can only end in MarySue-ness, IMO. You`d need to be really, really good to pull that one off.

And since you asked for concrit:

And can you believe it just took me like 5 minutes to figure out what "concrit" means? *headdesk* The heat is melting my brain. *g*

You need a beta. Really. My English is far from perfect, but I stumbled over a some stuff that just sounded wrong. Also, don't post without a beta, you only give off false impressions.

This was a one time only deal, posting without a beta that is. I know what you mean about stuff sounding wrong, sometimes some phrasing just feels off but for the life of me I can`t figure out why. It`s just a gut instinct.
I admit I posted this a bit impulsively, wanting to do it before my courage left me altogether. Did I mention the heat melting my brain? *sigh*

But since I had the pleasure of getting my first taste of reading Blackbolt today, I will certainly strive to work on my writing. Who wants to end up writing like that/i>? *shudder*

But Sam? Not really. He's introverted type that thinks everything through. So he either knows already, or he's just figuring things out, but then he is actively thinking about it.

I hadn`t really thought about it that way but yeah, you`re right. The wording should have been different.

Still, I had fun reading it. So thanks for posting : )

Thanks for the feedback. I`m glad you found it enjoyable a bit. Nothing worse than a story being boring and no fun since it kinda defeats the purpose.

Yes, I love me a little role reversal. *g* I`d like to see a scene in the show with Sam standing up for Dean when some jerks trashtalks him behind his back.

And saving his brother's virtue, no less. :-)

Maybe now Sam will start to dress him in more layers to minimalize the temptation. :)

Thanks very much for commenting.

Hey! *hugs* I finally got a chance to read it.

It's so believable how Dean would get on the wrong side of a white-collar friend of Sam's, and be unable to fully restrain himself although he might (if there was a kid involved, certainly) bend himself over backwards to try, for Sam's sake. I can easily see that happening. :) I've also wondered how Sam really feels about his brother being ogled (jealousy would be my take, but protectiveness is more fun! :)), so I enjoyed reading your take on that. The only part that stretched my belief was where he got protective about the married lady ogling Dean; I sort of see Sam taking that in stride with one of those little half-smiles of his, but I could be wrong. He could get all offended over it.

Also, I have to admit that I would see Sam as more embarrassed about Dean around his white-collar friends than super protective as he is here, but again, the protectiveness is much more fun and it's what I would prefer, so no complaints! ;)

Much love for your Dean snark, BTW, and his blasé reaction to the manlust. Honestly, I don't know how much weight he would put in a friendship like that between Kyle and Sam, or just how he would balance the pride of seeing his brother stand up for him vs. the realization that Sam's just shot himself in the foot, career-wise. That's a scenario I'd love to see on screen, and I enjoyed reading your version of it.

As for concrit, my English and grammar is not the best in the world, but I did notice a few things. One has to do with your paragraph breaks. For instance, between the paragraph that ends with ...Poltergeist haunting their house and their family. and the one that begins with After the job had been finished..., I would have included an extra space. But I'm the obsessive type who probably puts too many spaces in between lines in her own stuff (and feels the need to box in all of her icons with a border), so take that with a grain of salt. :) And if this is your most comfortable style, then please just disregard what I've said, because I don't like suggesting that anyone adjust their preferred style. (My own style is grammatically wrong in so many ways, so who am I to talk?)

One thing that did jump out at me, as it's the very first line, was this: "So, ever see that many books in one place?", the words could have come across as jokingly, but the tone made it clear, they were to be taken as an insult. I would remove the comma, and start a new sentence with "The words..." There were a few instances where you seemed to have started a new sentence, but the punctuation didn't indicate it.

Also, this sentence: You musn`t throw it away like that." and end up like your loser brother went unspoken. Where it goes to Kyle's assumed thought, perhaps either capitalize the "And" or use a comma instead of a period inside the quotes.

I don't mean to get all nitpicky, but since you asked for constructive criticism, I thought I would offer a little...? *hugs*

(p.s. Protective!Sammy was in full force last night; wasn't it great? :) Actually, they both were uber protective, which is one of the things I love about Skin. It's not either/or; it's both and intense. *loves that*)

Thank you so much for the great feedback. *hugs*

Also, I have to admit that I would see Sam as more embarrassed about Dean around his white-collar friends than super protective as he is here, but again, the protectiveness is much more fun and it's what I would prefer, so no complaints! ;)

I may have pushed my Protective!Sammy a bit much in the story, I admit. *g* For me it was more of a case of Sam being offended how the guy went out of his way to belittle Dean and put him down as a person, after the brothers putting their life on the line to help these people. He had seen that Dean is more than just some unemployed lowlife but that didn`t matter since Dean didn`t have the right education and all.
Not to mention how he and his sister regarded Dean basically only as a piece of meat. Coupled with his own attraction to his brother (otherwise it really might be more jealousy or annoyance) Sam wouldn`t have liked that at all. :)

Not to mention how it would be insulting to Sam in a way too: "Well, at least you`re gutter trash with a brain. So cut off the loser and be thankful I`ll lower myself to give you a hand here."

In the show whenever Sam has seemed embarassed by Dean, the latter had given him cause to do so, like the food-stuffing in Nightmare and Provenance. Ironically Sam had to deal with a snobbish waiter himself in that Episode and experienced the embarassment of it.
So I wanna believe Sam wouldn`t stand for it if someone trashtalked Dean behind his back without reason. I mean all kidding about books and EMF-meters aside, I don`t believe Sam views his brother as nothing more than some dumb bimbo. And I would really, really love a scene where Sam stood up for Dean in such a manner.

Much love for your Dean snark, BTW, and his blasé reaction to the manlust.

Thanks, writing the banter was definitely fun.

I don't mean to get all nitpicky, but since you asked for constructive criticism, I thought I would offer a little...? *hugs*

Concrit is always welcome, so absolutely, thank you for your hints. I still struggle with the English grammar and the wording somewhat. Sometimes there is a German phrase I knew would be perfect but I just don`t know how to get it across in English and it ends up sounding rather clumsy and uneven. *sigh*
I guess I will have to read more fanfic to get a better grasp at the language. What a chore. *g*

And maybe someday I`ll write my own version of Misery gets taken down a notch - or 50. *g*

I so love Sam in Protector mode. :) He so seldom gets a chance to in the show, so I love it in fic. And I would adore a scene in the show where Sam stands up to someone who is trashing Dean`s intelligence or something. Because I so don`t see them as the brains and the muscle.

And Dean with little kids is love. *g*

I really really loved this - Sammy coming to Dean's defense. It always seems Dean doesn't think too much of himself (well other than his looks) so it's nice to see that Sammy does. And it's also awesome that Dean was willing to put up with such an uncomfortable situation (well other than the pool, the steam shower etc...) to help set up his brother's future. Love the brotherly love you gave us with this story. It was nice, sweet, well-done and well-written. Sam in Protector mode is awesome. My only issue is I wish it could have been longer. I loved it that much.

Awww, thank you very much. That`s a great compliment.
I always believed that Sam wouldn`t just stand idly by when someone really trashed Dean to hell. And he especially wouldn`t sell out his brother to some asshole for his own interests.

As for longer stories, and here follows shameless self-pimpage, I just posted the first two parts of my mini epic SPN story in my LJ. Which actually gave me the courage to finally post this story to the comm since it`s an older one and I was too chicken at the time. :)

I really liked this story (and the interesting discussion it elicited!)

Early in the series, I remember thinking that Sam didn't seem to have a lot of respect for Dean. After that less than heartwarming welcome in the Pilot, I had wondered if Sam hadn't told his friends about his older brother because he was ashamed of Dean(and not just for the hunting lifestyle Dean represented.) Sam wanted so much to be accepted into this new life and Dean, with his crude jokes, lack of formal education, etc. would seem like the antithesis of the "respectability" Sam craved. I felt that Sam displayed a somewhat superious attitude in remarks like the crack about running credit card scams, the dig at the homemade EMF meter, the jibes about the cassette tapes/choice of music, the way Sam would look at Dean when he would correct or explain something, Sam repeatedly saying he wanted to be "normal" and a "real" person as though his family weren't. And in the asylum, the whole "pathetic" thing didn't exactly feel as if Sam. deep down, held Dean in high regard. This didn't happen all the time and each remark on its own wouldn't be that noticeable. But put together, IMO, there was enough to bring home the point.

And I don't think it's just me overreading these examples: I feel it was a deliberate attempt on the part of the writers to show Sam's growth over the course of the season. I can't see Sam making the same type of condescending remarks in "DT", for example. Things have changed for the better between the brothers and Sam sees and appreciates Dean in a new way. Had the brothers met Davidson months earlier, I think the old Sam would have still been embarassed by Dean and I could have seen him tolerating, maybe even agreeing with Davidson's jibes. I love, though, that now the situation is different, the brothers are different and their relationship is different. And I can totally believe Sam defending his brother's honor (awwwww), even with the Stanford at stake. I just wish we could see something like this in canon next season!

Anyways, thanks for posting....great story!

All the examples you cited bothered me too. Sam could come across as snotty and superior (and some early twentysomethings are like that, still somewhat bratty) and the brothers had clearly been estranged in the Pilot.

That`s why I loved the first Season with them forming a new bond and Sam learning to let go of the views as a child in regards to his family "They are mean and stupid and don`t understand me" as well as the "They are so larger than life, surely nothing I can say will ever bother/hurt them." So yes, I loved that.
Even though in Shadow I cringed because Sam was like a bull in a very small china shop but ironically after that in HH, the brothers for the first time came off as buddies. And things went uphill from there.

Sometimes I think the writers are pushing this ridiculus notion of academic=smart, non-academic=stupid and nothing is more laughable and insulting than that. In fact academics who believe in their own awesomeness on account of their degrees are what I would call stupid. As a lawyer myself I got to say, some of them are the worst offenders and all around dull, uninteresting people I`ve met.

Any person who is ashamed of a family member for not getting the higher education and actively looking down on them, earns my utter disdain and a nice "Grow up, brat." So, I`m very, very glad they didn`t go that way with Sam as the show progressed.

Also, I very much hope to see such a scene in the show.

Thanks for the great comment.

I like your reasonings and I agree about Sam being classist early in the show, presumbly because he's still clawing his way up. Certainly, seeing Sam get pissed on Dean's behalf is appealing. And Dean is just that self-sacrificing--that's canon, I think.

My one objection is Sam using the slur "pansy." I hope he wouldn't. Or I might have to kick HIS ass.

Oh, do you mean because the story is a bit older? I was too chicken at the time to post it anyplace else than in my LJ. But I`ve recently posted another story to the comm, so I thought what the heck.

Dean being protective of Sam is seen so often in the show (and I love it) but it makes me long for some role reversal. I adore Faith for that reason.
And I don`t like this Dean is stupid-vibe I sometimes get from the writers.

My one objection is Sam using the slur "pansy." I hope he wouldn't. Or I might have to kick HIS ass.

Oops, that would probably be on account of English not being my native language. I didn`t know the term has such a derogatory meaning. I meant it more along the lines of "wussy" or "wimpy." Totally my bad. Please don`t kick, Sam.
On second thought, I`m a 5.2 foot dwarf and he is a big strong giant, so go ahead. :)

Examine it
I tell you Sam examine it and then act on it. Oh and you, you need to write about it. I loved this and it comes as no surpise the lustfest that was being had at Dean's body.

Well, he is supposed to be a smart cookie, isn`t he. :)

I`m always up for a lustfest with Dean`s body myself - at least in fantasy-land. *g*
Thank you muchly for reviewing.

Awesome fic! Sam is so cute getting all bothered about the way that creep was looking at Dean. And Dean so self sacrificing, anything for his little brother...
