Stargate Atlantis Season 3 is odd: the really cool episodes are preceded by real stinkers - "Irresistible" before "Sateda" and last week we got this tired old trope in "The Real World" where I wasn`t sure we`d see ANY of the crew besides Weir since the half-hour mark was already over. At least other such episodes manage to integrate the other characters better. Weir only? Not exactly working.

And this week we get "Common Ground". Now THAT`s a trope I love. Two enemies having to work together to escape. And we learned something more about the Wraith. Of course as soon as Sheppard was fed on the second time and started looking old, I knew what would happen. But regardless it was a nice suspenseful little eppie.

I love both Sateda and Common Ground--they're awesome. Some of the best episodes SGA ever produced.

*nod nod* And it was such a different view of the Wraith each time, with Ronon, you had them as bloodthirsty enemies and wanted them all killed and with Sheppard, you had him bonding with the captive Wraith. I liked their talks in the prison cells.

This enemies are stuck together and have nice, philosophical talks-thing is something I really dig. Liked the Dean-Demon scenes in Sin City for that very reason.

Was even a bit undecided if they would let the Wraith go but I was glad they did. Even though the guy will now go and feed on innocent people and never pretended like he wouldn`t. Now THAT`s how you build sympathy for a monster.

Also it`s kind of cute to watch Ronon when Sheppard is in danger. He is always threatening the culprit for hurting his friend. Awww.

Same here. Since I know you like spoilers I'll tell you this: the wraith re-appeared in the most recent episode of season 4. :-) Yay!

I loved how Ronon and Carson were fighting over who got to save Ronon :-)

Oh cool. I was hoping we`d see him again. Did he interact with Sheppard? *small voice* Did he survive? *end small voice*

You mean in Sateda? McKay and Carson? I loved how they were arguing so long that all the Wraith were dead already. Teehee.

Yeah. And TeEyla's prompts in John's family speech. That was Sateda, right?

Also, seen this? Priceless.

Yup, it was. Where she finished his awkwardly fumbled sentences.

And cool, thanks for the link. I`m downloading at the moment because youtube takes so long to load for me. Saw the beginning. Hihi.

Yay, typos. I really like Teyla in scenes like that. She also works surprisingly well with Rodney.

I think that video is too funny for words. Elizabeth's bitchface versus John's confused!face :-)
