snagged from _bettina_ and because this time of the year (haha) always makes me quite nostalgic:

Which TV shows did you let go of in 2011?
Still have not dropped any of my "dinosaurs" so probably "Ringer"? Have accepted the boredom.

Which TV shows did you mean to get into but didn't in 2011? Why?
I wanted to try out Haven for some time now, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Which TV shows do you intend on checking out in 2012?
New ones? I have no idea. I'm not really up to date if there are any good midSeason or summer shows coming out that might interest me.

Which TV show impressed you least in 2011?
Um...you got an hour? *g* I think the ones that continue to disappoint me shouldn't count anymore because well, I expect it now. I guess
I haven't been so down with this Season's Fringe. Not even that it's bad, it just hurts too much to watch which makes it un-fun
entertainment. So more of a taste thing.

Which TV show do you think you might let go of in 2012 unless things significantly improve?
Once upon a time maybe. Of course I'd love to drop SPN already but it has been sucking for years and I still masochistically suffer
through it so probably not. :/

Which TV show impressed you the most in 2011? Why?
About 80 % of Season 4 of Merlin. Seriously, this Season was so gooood - and I hadn't expected that - until they once again fucked it up
in the end. But still, 11ish out of 13 is not bad.

Which TV shows do you think you'll never let go of no matter how crappy they get? Why?
SPN, mainly because I watched every bloody thing Jensen Ackles was in and this rubbish won't beat me. Also, all of my "dinosaurs" (House, Bones,
NCIS, CM) most likely, it's become a matter of pride now. :D

Your main fandom of the year?
XMFC for a good chunk of it. Lately, I've happily jumped back into Merlin, reading fic and watching vids.

Your favorite film you watched this year?
XMFC again. I adored it. Though to be fair, have not yet seen the new Sherlock Holmes.

Your favorite tv show of the year?
In terms of "it made me happy all around and never once let me down"? Vampire Diaries, that Season has been aces.

Your best new fandom discovery of the year?
No idea. The only "new" fandom I got into was XMFC. So maybe the fact that a movie fandom could do it for me at all.

Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?
The last two eps of Merlin. Again, I expected suckitude out of SPN but after Season 4 of Merlin, I thought they had gotten their shot
together.

Your biggest squee moment of the year?
Ironic that it is in the same category but again, the fact that Season 4 of Merlin started out so great. I had disattached from this show very much
and "Wicked Day"? The last 5 or so minutes are hands-down the best squee moment I had this year.

The most missed of your old fandoms?
J2 RPS maybe. I just, I can't even get into that anymore thanks to everything.

Your biggest fan anticipations for the coming year?
Don't know, have no big events lined up. Though, as a last hurrah, I would love to meet some Merlin cast, go to Pierrefonds even and see Camelot
for myself. Maybe that's more of a resolution. :)

As for my "normal" year in review, it wasn't bad certainly but I also wouldn't consider it stellar. Had its ups and downs.

I made two big trips I always wanted to do - and got to check off two continents of my list of "must travel the Earth". :D
Hope for some smaller, more inexpensive travels next year.

Workwise, we managed a lot but I dread the next year because conditions will worsen drastically and everyone knows it. I imagine by summer, all of our hardwork from this year will be undone.
However, my resolution is not to let it crash me like some of my collagues. I'll do my best at work but I won't let it ruin my physcialor mental health.

I'm quite proud of my new redecorated bedroom. It's certainly not everyone's style - a bit on the pompous/old-fashioned side maybe :) and taste but I love it. I feel like in my own small medieval castle (and nope, I don't have a 8year old girl princess room *g*), even got a dragon tattoo on the wall.
Looking forward to redecorate more rooms next year. It may be a lot of work but in the end, I find it worth it.

So here is to 2012, whatever it may hold.

Happy New Year! And if you want to do smaller travels, Pierrefonds should definitely be one of your destination! I heard France isn't too far away from Germany. :P Also, don't they shoot Merlin in springtime?
