69? Yes/Yes?

Merlin 1.10

Merthur bonding moments out the wazoo. The rooftop scene. The talk in the woods. The talk in bed. The dressing scene. The graveside scene. *paddles in happy end of the pool*

Sleeping together.

Footsie!!! They played motherfucking footsie. Okay, not exactly in the traditional sense but does this mean they love doing the 69?

Everybody and their dragon pimping them as OTP (okay, yeah, the dragon wasn't actually in it but he did in spirit)

Arthur nearly finding out Merlin's secret. And you just know he would make a difference if it was MERLIN he knew as a sorcerer.

Arthur as leader. Yay.

I even liked the Arthur/Gwen moment. One day they'll have a beautiful sham marriage where they can be with Merlin and Lancelot respectively.

And Will was so the jealous ex-boyfriend in the beginning and even he ended up giving Merlin his blessing to be with Arthur.

In conclusion, Ben Vanstone kicks ass. May he write all the Merlin episodes from now on.

They slept like this. Twice. *g*

And who does sleep like this anyway? All the other pairs slept head-to-head. Maybe they only spoon in Arthur's big, comfy bed. Hm. *ponders*

Of course they did! The position does have its advantages. :P

Well, I guess if they wanted to fit for battle they couldn't do more, hm, strenouus activities. Fighting is hard when you can't even walk straight. :-p

*this* was unbelievably slashy! I mean everything about it was: I can't believe they went there! And OMG, Colin and Bradley being surprised that people ship Merlin and Arthur? Hello? Where you there when you shot these scenes? Or was that a stund double?

I ♥ them soooooo much!

Somehow I picture this Ben Vanstone sitting at his keyboard and intentionally typing slash fiction for his episode scripts. And then he hands them in to execs ranging from denial to naivety to exteme dimness who read it and think "oh, they're such good...friends, right?...that's nice, right?" And he nodds and cackles inside.

Maybe they are hyptnotized before shooting? *g*

Honestly, that is like the only viable explanation.

Ben is a hidden slasher and he probably hypnotizes the two of them before every shoot.

*you are two sides of the same coin*

*it is perfectly manly for men to be that close*

*yes, you want to move even closer*

*Yes, exactly, Colin, when Merlin climbs onto Arthur's lap here, that's a social commentary on today's economics, the little man getting on the powerful, you know.*

*Oh, what was that, Bradley? Yes, of course, when Arthur then starts to rip off Merlin's clothes, that is the struggle of the corporate sharks to hold onto their power.*

*Splendid, you guys, now lets shoot*

which would actually make for great RPS fic, if someone accidentally triggers them outside of the set...

:)

No, really, I was just trying to make a social commentary! *g*

First thing I did after coming back from my weekend away was downloading the episode. And it just blew my mind away. The next step over on the slash scale would be an actual sex scene. This 69 for example?

I love the consistency of the show: after Uther blessing their union, it's now Merlin's mother (does she have a name? I can't remember it...). And the dying ex-boyfriend of course!

I even liked the Arthur/Gwen moment. One day they'll have a beautiful sham marriage where they can be with Merlin and Lancelot respectively.

I have to admit those moments were nice. But they reminded me of the real story and how Merlin and Arthur are not supposed to end together and... no. Just no. So yay for the sham marriage!
