I`m hopping channels and land on Scrubs...the Musical. Now while I adored the Buffy-muscial, that was one in a million. TV shows doing musicals? Not such a great idea. Last week when they parodied House, it was quite funny. Today? Not so much.
Honestly I hope SPN never does one.

And oh joy, Grey`s is on next and it starts on Gizzie. I don`t even watch that show but did those two names get drawn from a head to be together? Like they do in soccer to determine who`s playing who? Oy.

They`re doing it a lot of Promo-work for SPN within the Halloween-theme, I noticed. Maybe that`s better since the trailer for "Dead in the water" wasn`t all that. Say what you want about Pro7 but I felt their Wendigo-trailer looked like it was for a scary, suspenseful and action-packed little horror movie.

There was someone who did Fan-trailers for Buffy/Angel once upon a time and they rocked. Even when the episodes itself didn`t. Too bad they don`t seem to watch SPN. I`d be interested to see a trailer from them. The new CW trailers are both good and bad to my opinion. Good in so far as they try to convey a creepy, suspenseful atmosphere, bad in that they are running on the CW, self-proclaimed home of shallow teen stuff or wholesome gay family shows.
And "grrrrl-power". You know from all the changes in Season 3, I don`t really mind the new girls. They don`t offend me, they don`t move me. I`m very neutral there but could that "Girls of Thursday Night" promo be any more pathetic? Emphasizing women as bitchy and haughty and putting down "jerk-men" to convey toughness? Oh, promo monkeys.

Well, so far our ratings have risen slightly, the demos even by a tiny little bit but I`m pretty convinced we`re skewing on the top range of the 18-34 market and higher. Which wouldn`t be a bad thing at all if the network would grow a brain and an understanding for even the limited market they`re trying to cater too.

Oh, in case anyone wonders why I`m babbling along nonsensically, well, I drank some sweet fine earlier. And then some more. Without eating first. Now I feel rather...fuzzy. *g*

I`m generally not a fan of musicals. There are only a handful I liked. And "Chicago" was the first movie ever in my whole life where I would have left the cinema early if I wouldn`t have sat in the middle of a long-ass row and would have felt rude to force my way out.

Really? I'm a fan of musicals. The good ones - I avoid stuff like High School Musical :-p

I thought the Scrubs musical was a bit forced. I did absolutely ADORE, however, the ending song they did in that one episode with the heart patient, who hoped that death was like a musical. That fucking rocked. Have you seen that one? I think the clip is on YouTube... *hunts* http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GcsrnT7Tv1o This one. Freaking awesome.

*beams* No problem. :) I don't exactly remmeber what was happening with everyone, so that all that stuff made sense... I think maybe Turk had just asked Carla to marry him, she said she'd have to think about it, and that's why he was moping and she had her bags packed (she was going to Chicago to see her mother). Oh, and Ted and the grad student were planning something nefarious against Kelso, hence the look when they said "I already have a plan", but I don't remember it.

That show used to be so good. I watched a bit of this past season, and I just frickin' HATE JD now, and how he treats his girlfriend, and I really don't like Elliot and Keith (although I love Keith and I love Elliot... I just hate their relationship dynamic).

So, even my intense girlcrush on Judy Reyes can't make me watch it now. But in its heyday, I think it was one of the best comedies I've ever watched. Certainly the best medical show.

But in its heyday, I think it was one of the best comedies I've ever watched.

I`ve only seen a handful of Scrubs-eps, just never got around to watching it regularly. In the last few years I haven`t been watching any comedy shows really when I think about it which is weird because I used to gorge myself on them. I think the last ones I followed was Frasier and Seinfeld. Which kinda makes me feel old. :)

But without knowing much about the characters I hear yah on the growing disenchanted with someone.
Maybe I never realized this when I was a child or maybe it really was different in older shows but I`ve come to experience something I call "reversed growth" syndrome. I start watching a show and the characters or at least some of them are endearing. Then poof over the course of many Seasons and under the guise of "growth and maturing" they became vile and wretched individuals.

Buffy and Scoobies were ten times less self-involved as teenagers than they were as so-called adults. Shouldn`t it kinda be the other way around? Dito for the Roswell kids, dito for Clark Kent, the Charmed ones etc. The more they supposedly grow, the more whiny, bitchy and self-centered they all got. And I always had the impression the writers thought they were positively evolving. Weird.

Certainly the best medical show.

I`ve never been much for hospital shows but I continue to like House (minus the stupid Tritter-arc right now), not in a fannish way but more of an popcorn entertainment way. House just cracks me up.

An episode where Dean is cursed and HE has to sing everything because Jensen has a pretty voice...wait...maybe there is a way to write an SPN musical. Except that it would be weird....very weird.

They could have a scene where Dean needs to sing to keep his cover or something, that might work.
I kind of perked up in "What is..." when Dean had a guitar in his phantasy-apartment.

In conclusion, kittens are lovely.

Heh. That they are. Though I wouldn`t trade my fat, one-eyed and deaf tomcat for any cute kitten. He is too adorable. :)
